What is the Climate like?

Due to its equatorial position, weather does not change a lot during the year.
However depending on the altitude, temperature varies, and you could go from a very hot climate to mild in one-hour driving.

The average temperature is 30C around sea level, 24C at 1000 Mts., 18C at 2000mts, and 12C at 3000 Mts.
The coast and low parts are very hot while the mountainous areas range from cold to mild. Ibague's altitude is 1285 Mts. and its average temperature is 23 Celsius.

There are two seasons, dry and wet. But you could barely tell in which season you are since the temperatures are not extreme and the rain depends on complex geographical and altitudinal factors.
