All our grassroots projects take place in Ibague, which is located 200 kms away from the capital of Colombia, Bogota, and 100 kms from the coffee zone, on the way to the Pacific Ocean. It is ideally located almost in the middle of the country

Ibagué is a peaceful and safe city (according to international standards), surrounded by gorgeous mountains in a beautiful valley. Blessed with great weather, Ibagué is warm but never too hot. It its the perfect place to learned Spanish and do volunteer work. Since it is a mid-sized city of approximately 450.000, Ibagué is not too small, but lacks the hassle of large South American capitals.

The most remarkable thing about Ibagué is the true friendliness of its people. The people of Ibagué are laid back, very accepting and extremely warm and social. Besides the beautiful landscape, there are interesting museums and great out doors activities to do and see. The city is known as the musical city of Colombia; do to its excellent conservatory founded in the 1900s.
