This project aims to orientate, counsel, and ultimately help female sex workers to get out of prostitution, and assist women at risk of becoming prostitutes to find other ways of living. Also the program aims to help head household single mothers and extremely poor woman learn different ways to make a living and earn back their self-esteem. Along with the woman come their children and they all receive a meal, counseling, and some education.

This project is the only one available in the city for female sex workers, so it is crucial to help it grow and expand. In most cases adolescent pregnancy, poverty and ignorance push desperate women to become prostitutes and face all sorts of risks.
There are many child sex workers that can not benefit from the oblates sister program do to the lack of means, so as you might imagine this project really needs a hand.

The activities you could take part in are:

• Help in the literacy process (the majority of them do not write or read.)
• Labor Qualification: according to your skills help out giving different types of classes in scholastics, crafts, sewing, beauty, etc.
• Exchange ideas and perspectives, they could see that there are other options even in their harsh and limited reality.

• Give them talks about sexuality health, birth control and being a listener.
• Help out in maintenance of the house, cooking and serving the meals for the children
• Teach, play, and talk to them.
• Organize and plan some of the celebrations like birthdays, Children’s Day, Woman’s Day, graduation from their courses, etc.
